About Greg Willis, L.Ac.
Gregory Willis is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has a Master's Degree in Chinese Medicine from San Francisco's American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While at ACTCM, Greg spent his externship time treating stroke patients at the California Pacific Medical Center. While at ACTCM, Greg worked in their clinic as a massage therapist for 2 years. He specializes in therapeutics, Gynecology, Herbal Medicine, Stroke/ Bell’s Palsy, Digestive Disorders, Pain Management, Trauma, PTSD, Chronic Fatigue, and emotional disorders. He is focused on changing lives for better health and longevity.
Greg’s focus work includes Massage, Cupping, Moxabustion, Herbal medicine, Qi Gong/Taiji, Acupuncture, Diet and Exercise. Greg continues studying massage despite having over 1,000 documented hours in Chinese Tui-Na, and Japanese Shiatsu. He utilizes positional release, muscle energy techniques, as well as herbal poultices and patches. Combining softness, hardness, holding, and kneading, he focuses on the many body systems: the nervous system, muscular system, fascia, breathing and skeletal systems to reset patterns of poor posture held in the mind. Gregory has trained in Taijichuan for 17 years under the teaching of Master Kai Ying Tung and his Senior Students Bill Trieble and Marilyn Bonney (tungkaiying.com) He takes classes twice a week in Golden Gate Park and attends workshop with Master Tung throughout the year. Gregory recently went to Henan University of TCM to study at their Affiliated Hospitals in Zhengzhou, China. He spent time in their Moxabustion/ Tui Na/ and Acupuncture clinic, their pediatric ward learning massage, herbal remedies and acupuncture for adults and kids 2-18 years old. His herbal abilities were refined while in the Hepato-Billiary Herbal Clinic treating a large range of conditions like Cirrhosis, Abdominal Pain, Hepatitis, Diarrhea, Constipation, Hemorrhoids, Influenza and, Menstrual Disorders. Greg has been influenced by Tibetan Shamanism, Dance, Tarot, I-Ching and he loves music. He believes most health conditions are prevented with diet and exercise. “I am excited to help people as I love them and know that this can be a tough world. Some of us carry wounds from past generations, addiction issues, relationship issues, or need to create a whole new life. I am blessed with the abilities of an Empath. It is my goal to create a bubble of comfort that will expand and permeate the lives of those around me. I hope to help people turn a corner towards creating something bigger and better than what we have settled for in the past. Healing the body has many facets like healing the spirit, healing the emotions, and creating new habits.
