Dr. Jeffrey A. Chan
Dr. Jeffrey Chan was born and raised nearby in Palo
Alto. Along with common neck and back
pain, he specializes in treating sports injuries. Dr. Chan focuses on
rehabilitation and injury prevention using the most current evidence-based
guidelines. His goal is to promote physical activity in the community for the
benefit of cardiovascular and mental health along with general strengthening.
Dr. Chan earned his B.S. degree in Kinesiology while competing in NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track and Field. During his time on the team he was hindered by numerous injuries and almost retired if not for the help of a chiropractor. This led him to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West for his doctorate degree.
After graduation, he spent time at the Veteran’s Hospital treating patients and lead the adaptive exercise program, Move, for Military Veterans. During his tenure at the hospital Dr. Chan also co-authored research studies on muscle function and back pain which are in publishing.
With his experience as a competitive track athlete, Dr. Chan develops training programs for runners of all abilities. He spent a season coaching Team Challenge for the Napa Valley Half Marathon. He still competes in local 5k races and track meets throughout the Bay Area.
