Rachael Cresci, LCSW
Rachael Cresci is a licensed clinical social worker. She has over 16 years of
experience working with children and families providing assessment, counseling, crisisi ntervention and treatment for psychological and health problems. She has over 11 years of experience as a mental health clinician in medical settings, helping individuals cope with the psychosocial aspects of medical conditions. Her practice focuses on integrative care, the mind and body connection and in the treatment of the psychological aspects of physical health. Ms Cresci combines elements of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and other traditional psychological approaches with complementary and alternative medicine practices including meditation, guided imagery, and exposure therapy to create individualized treatment plans designed to improve health. She has expertise in the management and treatment of migraines, pain disorders and other chronic health conditions.
Ms. Cresci is a lecturer in the Department of SocialWork at California State University East Bay. She teaches advance practice, advance assessment in addition to other core courses. Ms. Cresci also teaches human sexuality and sex therapy at Ryokan College. She provides clinical supervision and
consultation to mental health professionals, community-based organizations and hospitals.
